What are your “Body Goals”?
If you could think of ANY public figure right now that you’d consider #BodyGoals, who would it be? Take a few moments, i’ll give you time…
TIMES UP! If you said Teyana Taylor, i’d say “Yas! Sis body is BANGIN’!” If you said Beyonce’, I’d say “Whew Chillay! Did she really even have 3 kids? That body is BOMB!”if you said JLo or Angela Bassett, I’d say “Those well seasoned women have great bodies!”. And if you said Ashanti, Amber Rose or Keyshia Kaoir, I’d agree that they all have beautiful bodies as well. But guess what, those should NOT be your body goals. Why? Because your body goals should be none other than the wonderfully and beautifully made YOU.
You subconsciously give up your ability to believe that you can achieve a banging body when you look at others achievements and call them your goals, Its okay to have goals that inspire you to have a better blood pressure, a lower blood sugar, a better BMI, and healthier womb, flourishing skin and hair. But when you look to the next woman as goals simply for looks, you set yourself up for a disappointing, yet very common realization. What happens when you lose the weight, or do the workouts, but you still don’t look like them? You’ve created an unattainable goal, because it wasn’t meant for you in the first place. But when you set goals to be the best YOU, you’ll never be disappointed! Health and wellness goes well beyond the superficial. True health and wellness starts inside.
